Sudan Crisis
The Sudan crisis, ignited in April 2023, involves intense conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), leading to a severe humanitarian disaster. The power struggle escalated into urban warfare, especially in Khartoum, resulting in hundreds of civilian deaths and thousands of injuries. Failed ceasefires compounded the humanitarian crisis, leaving millions without access to food, water, and healthcare. Hospitals were rendered non-operational, and displacement surged. International reactions included condemnation and calls for peace, but no effective solutions emerged during the initial phase of the conflict.
