2nd Land Forces Summit 2024

The 2nd Land Forces Summit (LFS) 2024, hosted by India, brought together Army Chiefs and senior generals from the QUAD countries (India, US, Japan, Australia) and the Philippines to discuss defence strategies and regional security in the Indo-Pacific. The summit emphasized multinational cooperation to ensure a free and inclusive Indo-Pacific. It highlighted India’s Look East Policy (1992) and Act East Policy (2014) as frameworks for strengthening ties with ASEAN countries. Focus areas included maritime security, defence collaboration, and stabilising the Indian Ocean Region. The event underlined QUAD’s collective commitment to counter regional security challenges and promote peaceful coexistence.
