NCMC meets to review preparedness for Biparjoy Cyclone.
What:
- It is a committee constituted by the government in the wake of natural disasters for coordinating disaster relief operations.
How:
- Reviews preparedness of:
- State and UT governments
- Central ministries
- Agencies, etc.
Who:
- It is chaired by the Cabinet Secretary (currently: Rajiv Gauba).
- Other members include:
- Secretaries to ministries of Home Affairs, Agriculture, Defence, etc.
- Secretary to the PM, etc.
