India-France Defence Industrial Roadmap
The India-France Defence Industrial Roadmap, reinforced during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to India in January 2024, focuses on enhancing collaborative efforts in the defence-industrial sector, particularly in high-tech fields like robotics, AI, and cyber defence. This roadmap includes joint development and production of vital military hardware and platforms, with a significant push towards technology transfer, notably from Safran for fighter jet engines. Beyond defence, the agreement spans energy, digital health, agriculture, and education sectors, marking a comprehensive approach to the strategic partnership between the two nations.
