Election Commission Eases Voting Process for Kashmiri Migrant Voters

The Election Commission of India has simplified the voting process for Kashmiri migrants in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, particularly for those in the Jammu and Udhampur districts. This move abolishes the need for Form-M, which was a significant bureaucratic barrier. Now, voters in these areas can directly use electronic voting machines without this form, while those outside these districts can still use postal ballots but will benefit from a new self-attestation provision, making the process less cumbersome.
