Discovery of Quasar J0529-4351
Astronomers have discovered J0529-4351, the brightest quasar ever observed, shining 500 trillion times brighter than the Sun and absorbing mass at an incredible rate. Detected with the Very Large Telescope (VLT) by the European Southern Observatory, J0529-4351 provides a rare glimpse into the early universe, with its light traveling over 12 billion years. Its extreme environment, large accretion disk, and historical significance highlight the ongoing potential for discovering extraordinary cosmic phenomena.
