2024 Booker Prize Finalists
The 2024 Booker Prize has shortlisted six finalists, with five women making history as nominees. The shortlist, announced on September 16, includes notable authors like Percival Everett (“James”), Rachel Kushner (“Creation Lake”), Samantha Harvey (“Orbital”), Anne Michaels (“Held”), Charlotte Wood (“Stone Yard Devotional”), and Yael van der Wouden (“The Safekeep”). The prize, open to fiction published in the U.K. and Ireland, awards £50,000 to the winner, to be announced on November 12. The Booker Prize, established in 1969, aims to celebrate exceptional fiction and has expanded its inclusivity over the years.
