‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ App Launched
The ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ app, launched nationwide by Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia on October 10, 2023, promotes environmental conservation by encouraging people to plant trees in honor of their mothers. Originally introduced in Madhya Pradesh in 2020, the app allows users to track tree growth, earn carbon credits, and share their contributions on social media. With features like photo uploads, location tracking, and progress monitoring, it combines personal celebration with ecological conservation. The app aims to inspire wider community involvement in sustainable practices and will soon be available on the Google Play Store.
