10th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference
Summary: The Indian Parliament will host the 10th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Conference in New Delhi, chaired by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. With 46 Presiding Officers, 25 Speakers, and other key representatives from India’s states and union territories participating, the conference will discuss the theme, “The Role of Legislative Bodies in the Attainment of Sustainable and Inclusive Development.” Established in 2004, the CPA India Region aims to enhance democratic practices and legislative cooperation. The CPA, founded in 1911 with 54 member nations, promotes governance, democracy, and gender equality among Commonwealth countries.
