Women in Space Leadership Programme (WiSLP)
The Women in Space Leadership Programme (WiSLP), launched by India’s Department of Science and Technology (DST) in collaboration with the British Council, aims to increase women’s leadership roles in space sciences. Part of the UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI), the program targets 250 early-career women researchers, focusing on overcoming gender biases and creating sustainable mentorship networks. Workshops will help shape policies promoting gender equality in space sciences. Key partners include Coventry University and experts like Vandana Singh, with a long-term goal of fostering more inclusive innovation in space-related fields.
