Cabinet Approves 3 Major Railway Projects
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved three significant railway projects worth ₹7,927 crore under the PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan. Covering 639 km across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, these projects aim to boost passenger and freight capacity, benefiting 38 lakh people and 1,319 villages. Enhanced connectivity will improve access to religious and heritage sites while supporting economic growth through reduced transport costs and increased freight handling. Environmentally conscious design aligns with sustainability, reducing CO2 emissions equivalent to planting 11 crore trees.
