Karnataka’s Tourism Initiative

Karnataka’s government has announced a ₹100 crore initiative to promote tourism by developing Yadgir Fort under the “One District, One Spot” program. The fort, with a history linked to the Chalukyas, Yadavas, and Adil Shahis, will undergo enhancements to attract visitors. Additionally, the government approved a ropeway project at the Mailaralingeshwar Temple as part of the Karnataka Tourism Ropeways Bill, 2024, which includes constructing 15 ropeways across the state. These initiatives aim to boost tourism infrastructure, enhance cultural heritage visibility, and generate economic benefits for local communities.
