Rythu Bharosa Scheme Expansion

The Telangana government has approved the expansion of the Rythu Bharosa Scheme, replacing the previous Rythu Bandhu program. It offers ₹7,500 per acre to approximately 70 lakh farmers per crop season, starting around Sankranti. Gram sabhas will ensure only genuine farmers benefit. With increased subsidies, the financial outlay will match the Rythu Bandhu scheme. To fund the scheme, the government plans to borrow ₹30,000 crore in market securities, regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. The program emphasizes equitable distribution, transparency, and long-term assessments for sustainability.
