CBI Enhances Ties with INTERPOL

In January 2025, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) strengthened ties with INTERPOL by deploying three senior officers to its offices in France and Singapore, marking a historic first. Acting as India’s National Central Bureau (NCB), CBI facilitates cooperation in combating transnational crimes and expediting extraditions. INTERPOL notices, including Red and Blue Notices, aid in tracking fugitives. The CBI’s move enhances India’s participation in global crime prevention. Established in 1963, the CBI operates under the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, focusing on professionalism and integrity. This initiative underscores a commitment to tackling evolving international crimes effectively.
