UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2020 Postponed – New Date to be announced on May 20

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has deferred the Civil Services 2020 preliminary examination as the lockdown extended for 2 more weeks to control the COVID-19 spread. Earlier, UPSC Civil Service preliminary examination was scheduled to be held on May 31, 2020, which has now been postponed.

A notification in this regard available on the official website reads that:

The Civil Services (Prel.) Examination-2020, scheduled to be held on 31/05/2020, stands deferred (postponed).

Decision on the fresh date of the Examination will be made available on 20/05/2020 after assessing the situation.

The commission had earlier announced (press release released on April 15, 2020) that any rescheduling of the examinations would be notified on the website of UPSC. Candidates are advised to visit the official portal of UPSC — upsc.gov.in — regularly to get the latest updates on the exam.
