Anna Chakra and SCAN Portal
The Government of India has launched Anna Chakra, a tool designed to optimize the Public Distribution System (PDS) logistics, ensuring efficient food grain movement across India. Alongside, the SCAN Portal (Subsidy Claim Application for the National Food Security Act) was introduced to automate subsidy claims, reducing delays and enhancing transparency. These initiatives, launched by Food and Public Distribution Minister Pralhad Joshi, aim to modernize food supply chains, improve accountability, and streamline subsidy processes, aligning with the government’s broader strategy to strengthen food security for citizens.
