Bhu-Neer Portal
The Bhu-Neer portal, launched on September 19, 2024, by the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) and NIC, aims to streamline groundwater management in India. Replacing the older NOCAP system, it offers a user-friendly interface with single-ID functionality linked to PAN and QR-coded No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for ease of use. The platform facilitates online applications, status tracking, and payments while providing access to groundwater policies and best practices. Inaugurated by Union Minister C.R. Paatil during India Water Week, it aligns with the government’s goal of improving regulatory compliance and sustainable groundwater utilization.
