CR450 Bullet Train: Breaking Speed Records
China’s newly unveiled CR450 bullet train has achieved a record-breaking speed of 450 km/h during testing, surpassing its predecessor, the CR400 Fuxing, which maxed out at 350 km/h. The CR450 boasts advancements in efficiency, safety, and passenger comfort, featuring a lighter design, reduced energy consumption, and over 4,000 sensors for monitoring critical systems. This train is set to transform China’s extensive high-speed rail network, which spans over 46,000 kilometers. Prototypes like the CR450AF and CR450BF include advanced aerodynamic designs and water-cooled traction systems, setting a global benchmark for speed and sustainability in rail travel.
