DRI Smuggling in India Report
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) will celebrate its 67th Foundation Day on December 4, 2024, in New Delhi, releasing the ‘Smuggling in India Report 2023-24’. Established in 1957 under the CBIC, DRI has been instrumental in combating smuggling, customs fraud, and narcotics trafficking. The report will detail trends and achievements in anti-smuggling operations. Foundation Day events include the Regional Customs Enforcement Meeting (RCEM), with participation from agencies like UNODC and INCB. DRI’s global collaborations under CMAA and RILO-AP enhance its operational scope. This event underscores DRI’s crucial role in safeguarding India’s economic and national security.
