Funds Allocation for Rajasthan and Odisha

The Union Government has allocated funds for rural local bodies in Rajasthan and Odisha for FY 2024–25 to strengthen local governance and support community development. Rajasthan received ₹560.63 crore as the second installment of untied grants and ₹53.41 crore from the first installment, distributed across 10,105 Gram Panchayats, 315 Block Panchayats, and 20 District Panchayats. Odisha was allocated ₹370.20 crore as the second installment and ₹84.51 crore from the withheld first installment for 6,794 Gram Panchayats, 314 Block Panchayats, and 30 District Panchayats. These untied grants are meant for community projects under the Eleventh Schedule, excluding administrative costs, while tied grants target sanitation and water supply initiatives.
