Google Safety Engineering Centre (GSEC)
The Google Safety Engineering Centre (GSEC), India’s first dedicated cybersecurity facility, was launched in Hyderabad in collaboration with the Telangana government. The centre aims to enhance online safety and security products tailored to Indian needs, focusing on AI-powered solutions. GSEC is the fifth such global centre, with others in Tokyo, Dublin, Munich, and Malaga. Announced during the “Google for India 2024” event, this initiative strengthens Hyderabad’s position as an IT hub. It is expected to generate jobs, promote skill development in cybersecurity, and foster innovation. The Telangana government lauded the project as a testament to Hyderabad’s technological leadership.
