Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) is a scheme by the Ministry of Women and Child Development aimed at addressing gender discrimination and promoting women’s empowerment in India.

Eligibility:
Family must have a girl child below 10 years of age.
A Sukanya Samriddhi Account must have been opened in the name of the girl child in any Indian bank.
The girl child should be a resident Indian.
Exclusions:
NRI citizens are not eligible for the BBBP scheme.
