Objectives– Ensure at least one antenatal check-up in the 2nd/3rd trimester by a specialist.
– Improve quality of antenatal care, including diagnostics and counseling.
– Identify and manage high-risk pregnancies.
– Emphasize nutrition and adolescent pregnancies.
Benefits– Free comprehensive antenatal care services.
– Essential diagnostics and medications, including IFA and calcium.
– High-risk pregnancy management.
– Counseling on nutrition and birth preparedness.
– MCP cards issuance.
EligibilityAll pregnant women in their second and third trimesters.
Funding & Implementation Strategy– Funded by the Government of India.
– Implemented via public health facilities.
– Private sector doctors encouraged to volunteer.
– Comprehensive care with risk identification (Green for no risk; Red for high risk).
