IISR Wins Best Technology Award

The Indian Institute of Spices Research (IISR) has been recognized with the best technology award at the 96th Foundation Day of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for their innovative “Process for instant soluble turmeric enriched spice-flavored milk powder.” This technology, developed by IISR experts, addresses the challenge of making turmeric soluble in water and has been commercialized in collaboration with the Malabar Regional Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Limited, resulting in successful products like Golden Milk and Golden Milk Mix. The award highlights IISR’s significant contributions to horticultural studies and the potential impact of their research on the dairy industry.
