India-Iran-Armenia Trilateral Talks
The second India-Iran-Armenia Trilateral Talks in New Delhi focused on advancing the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) and the strategic role of Chabahar Port. Officials emphasized improving trade, tourism, and cultural ties, with Armenia highlighting its “Crossroads of Peace” initiative for regional connectivity. Armenia committed $200 million to the Kajaran Tunnel project to integrate into INSTC. Discussions included the Trans-Caspian, Eastern, and Western INSTC routes, countering China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Delegations from India, Iran, and Armenia stressed collaboration to enhance infrastructure, facilitate trade, and address regional challenges for stronger ties.
