India Launches BHASKAR to Transform Startup Ecosystem
India has launched BHASKAR, a digital platform under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to strengthen the startup ecosystem. Part of the Startup India programme, BHASKAR (Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry) offers resources for startups, investors, mentors, and service providers, and provides a unique BHASKAR ID for personalised access. Key features include networking, resource access, and global recognition. It aims to enhance innovation, job creation, and India’s position as a global leader. Challenges include startup adoption and resource maintenance. The platform aligns with “Make in India” and “Digital India” initiatives, promoting international partnerships.
