India’s First Green Hydrogen Hub

India’s first Green Hydrogen Hub (GHH) has been launched in Pudimadaka, Andhra Pradesh, under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. Spread across 1,600 acres, the ₹1,84,700 crore project is a joint venture between NTPC Green Energy Limited and Andhra Pradesh NREDCAP. With a capacity to produce 1,500 tonnes per day of green hydrogen and 7,500 tonnes of derivatives like green methanol, the project targets exports. It includes a desalination plant, green chemical zone, and renewable energy infrastructure. Supporting India’s 2070 net zero goal, the project will generate 57,000 jobs by 2032 and boost the country’s global green energy leadership.
