INS Delhi Wins Best Ship of Eastern Fleet 2024
INS Delhi was named the Best Ship of the Eastern Fleet at the Fleet Awards Function held in Visakhapatnam on July 14, 2024. The event recognized the tactical successes of the Eastern Fleet, with INS Kavaratti, INS Shivalik, INS Sumedha, and INS Sumitra also receiving accolades. Vice-Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar and Rear Admiral Rajesh Dhankhar were notable attendees. The Eastern Fleet was active in operations, exercises, and humanitarian missions throughout the year. INS Delhi, a guided-missile frigate inducted in 1997, boasts advanced weaponry and sensor systems, making it a formidable asset.
