Jobs at Your Doorstep Report
The “Jobs at Your Doorstep” report, launched by India’s Union Education and Labour Ministers in collaboration with the World Bank, highlights strategies to align education with job opportunities. Focusing on six states, the report identifies gaps between school-taught skills and industry needs. Conducted under the STARS program, it recommends integrating skill-based education from Classes 9-12. Aligned with NEP 2020, the government aims to make skill education accessible to 50% of students by 2025 and expand it to all secondary schools by 2030. This initiative supports India’s Vision 2047 for becoming a high-income economy.
