Maiya Samman Yojana

Launched in August 2024 by Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, the Maiya Samman Yojana empowers women through direct financial aid. Initially providing ₹1,000 monthly to women aged 18-50, the scheme increased this to ₹2,500 per month in December 2024 after JMM’s electoral success. In January 2025, ₹1,415.44 crore was transferred to 56.61 lakh women to cover double instalments. The initiative strengthens women’s financial independence, integrates them into the banking system, and aims to address poverty, unemployment, and malnutrition in Jharkhand. Future plans focus on leveraging women’s economic contributions to drive the state’s development.
