Modi Receives Kuwait’s Highest Honour

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Kuwait’s highest national honour, the Order of Mubarak Al-Kabeer, presented by Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The award, established in 1974, is reserved for foreign dignitaries and signifies strong India-Kuwait ties. Modi dedicated the honour to the deep friendship between the two nations and the contributions of the Indian diaspora in Kuwait. India and Kuwait share historical economic ties, with bilateral trade reaching $10.47 billion in 2023-24. Kuwait is India’s sixth-largest crude oil supplier, and its investment authority has invested over $10 billion in India, reflecting robust collaboration.
