National Campaign Against Gender-Based Violence
The National Campaign Against Gender-Based Violence, titled Nayi Chetna – Pahal Badlaav Ki, launched by Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, addresses violence against women through empowerment initiatives. The campaign includes 227 Gender Resource Centres (GRCs) offering legal and emotional support, and the abkoibahananahi initiative involving 10 crore Self-Help Group women. Running until December 23, 2024, it promotes 49 government schemes, helplines, and one-stop centres. An inter-ministerial advisory enhances coordination, while inspiring gender champions motivate collective action against violence, aiming to create safer and inclusive spaces.
