National Conclave on Gender Mainstreaming
The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), in collaboration with IWWAGE, organized a National Conclave on Gender Mainstreaming in New Delhi to make rural development programs more gender-sensitive. The event focused on integrating gender considerations into the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). Key discussions included empowering women, addressing unpaid care work, and strengthening Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The conclave featured panel discussions on gender-responsive community institutions, convergence pathways, program design integration, and advocacy, aiming to promote women’s empowerment and inclusivity in rural programs.
