Quadrilateral Security Dialogue Alliance

The Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad), an informal alliance of India, Australia, Japan, and the United States, aims to maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific region. Formed in 2007 and revitalized in 2017, the Quad addresses regional security, climate change, technology, cybersecurity, health, and infrastructure development. Key initiatives include the Clean Energy Supply Chains, Open RAN pilot in Palau, and Quad Vaccine Partnership. While the Quad promotes stability, it indirectly counters China’s influence, striving to uphold a rules-based order. Regular meetings and cooperation strengthen the Quad’s role in addressing challenges and fostering collaboration in the Indo-Pacific.
