Sanskriti Utsava

The Sanskriti Utsava is a cultural festival organized by the Uttar Pradesh government from January 2 to January 26, 2025, celebrating Uttar Pradesh Diwas and promoting classical, semi-classical, and folk arts. Under the theme “Uttar Pradesh Parv – Hamari Sanskriti-Hamari Pehchaan,” competitions will be held at state, district, and local levels, offering a platform to emerging artists. Categories include classical singing like Khayal and Dhrupad, semi-classical forms like Thumri, and folk styles like Kajri and Qawwali. Uttar Pradesh Day commemorates the state’s renaming on January 24, 1950, an annual celebration introduced by Governor Ram Naik in 2017.
