Sentinel-1C Satellite Launch

The Sentinel-1C satellite was successfully launched from French Guiana using the Vega-C rocket, marking the rocket’s return after a two-year hiatus due to its first mission failure. Sentinel-1C is the third satellite in the Sentinel-1 series, designed for high-resolution radar imaging to monitor Earth’s changes. Part of the Copernicus Programme, the satellite provides data critical for environmental monitoring, disaster response, climate research, and urban planning. The Copernicus Programme, Europe’s largest Earth observation initiative, features 12 Sentinel satellite families, offering comprehensive data for diverse applications.
