Subhadra Yojana (Odisha)

The Subhadra Yojana, launched by the Odisha government, aims to provide financial assistance to women aged 21-60 from economically weaker backgrounds. Celebrating PM Modi’s 74th birthday, the scheme offers ₹10,000 annually, split into ₹5,000 payments on Rakhi Purnima and International Women’s Day, transferred directly to beneficiaries’ Aadhaar-linked accounts. With a budget of ₹55,825 crore over five years, it targets 1 crore women, promoting digital transactions and financial empowerment. The scheme, part of BJP’s political strategy, competes with the BJD’s Mission Shakti program. Over 50 lakh women have registered so far.
