UDAN 2.0 identifies viable airstrips, reduces operational costs, simplifies regulations, and encourages new operators like helicopter services. With a goal to expand operational airports to 350-400 by 2047, the initiative prioritizes regional development and tourism. Key features include Viability Gap Funding, promoting water aerodromes, and enhancing connectivity in remote areas.
