UP Open Network for Agriculture

The Uttar Pradesh government, in collaboration with Google Cloud, has launched the UP Open Network for Agriculture to provide comprehensive services to farmers. Leveraging Google’s Gemini framework and Beckn Protocol, the initiative offers advisory services, credit access, mechanisation, and market linkages. Supporting multiple languages, including Hindi and Bangla, it ensures inclusivity for diverse user groups. As part of the broader Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) ecosystem, the network aims to enhance agricultural productivity through real-time weather updates and market information. Despite challenges like limited connectivity, this initiative promotes digital inclusion, intending to strengthen India’s agricultural ecosystem.
