Vitul Kumar – Acting Director General of CRPF
Vitul Kumar, a senior IPS officer from the 1993 batch, has been appointed as the acting Director General of the CRPF following the retirement of Anish Dayal Singh. Kumar, known for his extensive service and accolades, including the President’s Police Medal, will lead India’s largest paramilitary force during the transition period. He has held various leadership roles in the CRPF, showcasing his capabilities in law enforcement and security. Kumar’s appointment reflects the Ministry of Home Affairs’ efforts to ensure continuity in CRPF operations while a permanent appointment is finalised.
