Summary: The construction of the Viraat Ramayan Mandir in East Champaran, Bihar, has entered its second phase, aiming to create the world’s largest Ramayan temple. Initiated in June 2023 with a projected cost of ₹500 crore, the temple will be three times the size of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, covering 3.76 lakh sq. ft. It will feature the world’s biggest shivling at 33 feet, 22 sanctum sanctorums, and multiple smaller temples dedicated to Ramayana characters. Expected to be completed by 2025, the temple will serve as a significant cultural and spiritual site, promoting religious tourism and symbolizing faith unity and architectural grandeur.
